Every year on the Sunday nearest to 11th November a Remembrance Day Parade is held at Takeley War Memorial. Members of the Royal British Legion parade along with Scouts, Guides, Cubs, and Rainbows organisations of the village. A service is held and an address is given by the inspecting officer before the two minutes silence and laying of wreaths.
